Do you know that about 95% of your blog readers don’t comment on your blog? It means that most of your blog readers don’t want to participate in your blog. They just roam around and go! So, PostReach has developed an interesting commenting system for blogs, aiming most of those non participating blog readers. This system is called ClickComments. It requires a simple click to comment on your blog posts. No need of comment forms and just a click to give a comment!
ClickComments consists of a number of interesting buttons that are included on a blog which relate to various user-responses, such as cool, fun, insightful and great find. A reader can simply click one that relate to their opinion on that particular blog post. That’s it! No need to leave personal details.

Wait, the fun is not over yet! All posts that have received Clickcomments are then listed on the Postreach website. they are categorised under the showcase section. So it can provide some traffic to blogs that are using this service. Another good thing about ClickComments is that, it’s widget shows related posts from your blog. So, it may help in engaging your readers.
For the Blogger and TypePad blogging platforms, it has a cool 3-click installation system. ClickComments also supports other blogging platforms and it a completely free service. Even email registration is also optional here! You can even customize your comment widget with different sets of icons. ClickComments supports Spanish, Portuguese, Slovak, French, Japanese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Greek, German, Dutch, Romanian, Swedish and Slovenian language.
To test it, I am using ClickComments on a blogspot test blog and it looks great. You can check the official demo blog to test the service. And I am sure that your readers will also like this interesting commenting service. But, so sad that this commenting service is of no use for spammer!

Want to decorate your blog posts in Blogger.Com blogs? Well, you can do it in different ways. You can add images to every post, you can add beautiful block quotes or you can use interesting pull quotes! But, ever noticed the ‘Big first letters’ in some of the popular blogs? This simple style helps in drawing the attention of your blog readers. Now, I will tell you how to add this style in your every blogspot posts.
You need to add a simple code to your blog template. If you are using a custom template, make sure you have access to the css code. And always backup your original Blogger template, before making the changes.

Follow these steps to add a ‘Big First Letter in Your Blog Post’:
- Log in to your Blogger.Com account.
- Go to the ‘Template‘ tab of your blog and click ‘Edit HTML‘.
- Backup your existing template by clicking ‘Download Full Template‘ link.
- Look your template codes in the ‘Edit Template‘ section and find the following code:
.post img {
- In Firefox, you can find it easily by pressing Ctrl+F and putting the code in the ‘find box’.
- This code may have two to three lines with padding, border etc. Look for the end of this code. It ends with a } symbol. And add the following code below that symbol:
.post t { float:left; color: $headerBgColor; font-size:100px; line-height:80px; padding-top:1px; padding-right:5px; }
- You can change the values of color, font-size etc. to suit your blog. (example: color:#FF0099)
- Now save your template by pressing the ‘Save Template‘ button.
- It is almost done. From now on, you need to put the first letter of your blog post inside the <t></t> tags. Mind it, it should be done in ‘Edit Html’ view of your blog editor. It will show a big first letter in your blog post.
- To make it easier, you can add <t></t> in your post template. Go to Blogger Settings> Formatting and insert <t></t> in the Post Template and save the settings.
- That’s it! Go and create a new post in blogger. You will see <t></t> in the HTML view of the post editor. Simply place the first letter of your blog post within the <t></t> tags and continue writing as usual. Publish your post and you will see a beautiful ‘big first letter’ in your blog post.

How can you decorate your blog? You can do it in different ways and it mostly depends on your own tastes and choices. But one of the most easiest and interactive ways is to add some good photos. Photos not only makes your blog attractive, but also helps in keeping your visitors glued! So, I love the flickrRSS plugin. FlickrRSS is a plugin for WordPress, that allows you to display beautiful Flickr photos on your blog. I am using it on a different blog and it works fine.
This interesting plugin supports user, public and group photostreams. It’s easy to setup and configure via an options panel. It also has support for an image cache located on your server. However, there is a limitation in this plugin. FlickrRSS uses RSS feed to display the images and RSS feeds contains the recent photos only. So it can’t show random images from a stream.

How to use flickrRSS plugin?
- Download the flickrRSS 3.2.
- Unzip and upload the flickrrss.php file to your blog’s “wp-content/plugins” directory.
- To use the image cache, create a writable directory and specify its location in the options.
- Activate the plugin from your WordPress Admin section.
- Configure your settings via the panel in Options
- Add the following code in your theme template, where in want the photos to appear:
<?php get_flickrRSS(); ?>
The flickrRSS plugin also supports a number of parameters, allowing you to have multiple instances across your site. It means you can customize it as per your requirements. You may use:
- $num_items – how many photos you want to appear
- $type – specify user, public or group photosream
- $tags – a comma separated list of tags (with no spaces)
- $imagesize – square, thumbnail, medium or large
- $before – html appearing before each photo
- $after – html appearing after each photo
- $userid – specify a user id (or group name)
For example:
<?php get_flickrrss(10, “public”, “beach, people”); ?> code in your theme would show the 10 most recent public photos tagged with beach and people.

Earlier I wrote a post about the ShareThis plugin for WordPress. It was a good plugin. But I removed it, due to some theme related problems. Now, I am using the AddThis widget. It is another cool online tool, that makes social bookmarking a lot easier to your blog visitors. It is very easy to install. They have a plugin for WordPress blogs. But it is not essential. It works within minutes, and you need to add just a simple code to your theme.

Why AddThis is Cool?
- Easy Bookmarking – Makes it easy for your visitors to bookmark your content and subscribe to your feeds.
- Promotes Your Blog – Helps send your content to social bookmarking services, which brings back more traffic to you.
- Increases Your Rankings – Increases your link popularity, which is a very important factor in increasing search engine rankings.
- Removes Clutter – No need to include different buttons for each bookmarking service.
- Easy to Install – Can be installed on almost anywhere with a few clicks.
- Free Statistics – Provides valuable statistics about how readers are bookmarking and sharing your content. And this is free!
AddThis currently supports three major blogging platforms – Blogger, WordPress and Typepad. But, you can use it on other websites also! To use AddThis, simple follow this link and select your widget type and style (they have 5-6 styles). Then mention, where you want to put this widget (Blog, Website, MySpace or Newsletter). Then click the “Get Your Free Button”. If you are new to AddThis, they will prompt you to create an account. It takes just one minute. Create your account and get the code. Paste it on your blog and start encouraging your visitors to share your content!
If you don’t want to touch your WordPress template codes, you may use the AddThis WordPress plugin. It will automatically insert the AddThis widget below each post in your blog. The plugin is available in two styles – default and drop-down. Choose your style, upload and activate the plugin. Open your blog and you will see the cool social bookmark button at the end of your blog posts. Is it not interesting? Get it today!

Want to try your hands on template design? Use templatr, a free Template Generator, with which you can create cool design or theme for your Blog. You need no knowledge of HTML or PHP. All you need is a good browser and a little bit of creativity. Like the WordPress Theme Generator, you can easily download your completed template with a simple click.
The templatr is an online generator. When you open it in a browser, it shows two distinct sections. The sections on the left hand side shows you the steps, necessary for the creation of the Template. And the section on right displays the template. preview also appears on this section.

The first section decides the template Layout. There are some with “side bar” and extra bar”, and there are some which only have the “side bar”. You can change the Layout with the arrows, and if you click on to the Design, your selected Layout will be used in the pre view and on your Template. You can switch between the Layouts, at any time.
In section two you can add background Pictures and Logos to your Template. The pictures can be added to the selected elements later in the “Designer”. You can add pictures in the following formats: GIF, JPG and BMP.
In section three, you can decide on the look of the separate page elements. You can select the elements with the selection boxes which are located over the preview, or you can just click onto the element you want in the preview.
Once satisfied with your design, use the fourth section on left to download it! You can download English (default), German, Spanish, French, Italian or Chinese version of your design.
For testing, I have already created some templates with templatr. They are good. To guide you, templatr have some nice video tutorial in the help section. Watch the videos and start creating your exciting templates or WordPress themes!

Digg is rocking the world! What’s next? A song for Digg? Not bad. While reading TechCrunch, I came to know about this ‘Digg Song’. After watching the video of “Gotta Digg“, I thought “that’s a fantastic song”! This song nicely portraits the Digg.com. So, I am sharing it with my readers. I hope you people will like it. “Gotta Digg” is performed by Kina Grannis. Good work Kina Grannis! Enjoy it in this festive season. Specially the Diggers!
[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLLRsn_nr6s]
The lyrics of “Gotta Digg” goes here:
When I’m feeling lazy, at school or when I work
I sneak to my computer, and then I like to shirk
I don’t go online shopping, I don’t email with my mom
I open up my browser, and go to digg-dot-com
Chorus: Gotta digg, gotta digg, gotta digg
Gotta make this story big!
Did you hear that awful sound?
Another server’s down!
I always dig up Apple, and I bury Microsoft
But when I said I was a girl, all the diggers scoffed
And when I see those stories about Senator Ron Paul
I don’t even RTFA; I just digg them all!
Chorus: Gotta digg, gotta digg, gotta digg
Gotta make this story big!
Did you hear that awful sound?
Another server’s down!
The fanboys can be tiresome, they always are outspoken
And if you’re listening Kevin Rose, the comment system’s broken!
I know digg isn’t perfect, but be thankful for what we’ve got
It’s just like daddy always says: “At least it’s not Slashdot!!!”
Chorus: Gotta digg, gotta digg, gotta digg
Gotta make this story big!
Did you hear that awful sound?
Another server’s down!
