Earlier this week, Google updated it’s popular RSS Reader, that we all know as “Google Reader”. with some user-friendly features. The new features of Google Reader includes friends worldwide, tagging with note, alphabetical ordering, and last-crawl-date. Besides the new features, they have also made some iPhone speed improvements and bug fixes to the reader.
After introducing sharing feature for US readers, last month, Google Reader now supports international sharing through its new ‘Friends Everywhere’ feature. The tagging with note feature will allow you to add a tag while adding a note. It will help those users who uses lots of tag to organize their posts.
What’s more? Now you can arrange your feed subscriptions by choosing between alphabetical ordering or drag n’ drop ordering, which is available in the ‘Options’ menu of your reader. This is helpful if you have tons of subscriptions.
One more new feature is the last-crawl-date, which tells you the last time a feed was crawled. While reading a particular RSS feed, you can check the details area to find the last-crawl-date.
