IPKarma is a new portable karma service that helps to track users who comment on your blog. It aims to provide a cross-site identity, avatar and karma to the users! To use this service you don’t have to register. Simply comment on an IPKarma enabled blog! This service uses the email address to track the users. Sounds different? Read on..

IPKarma tracks users by their email address. When you comment on an IPKarma enabled blog, it automatically creates a profile for you. The system also generates a 16X16 GIF avatar for your profile and gives you a Karma Score of 1. Later, other users can click on your profile and give up or down votes for your contribution. That’s why it is named as IPKarma.

Your IPKarma profile also tracks all the comments you’ve left on different IPKarma enabled blogs. Other users can track down and read what you’ve written. To customize your profile, you can claim your profile by clicking on the “Claim” link under your avatar and entering your email ID. Remember, you need atleast 10 positive Karma Scores to claim your profile.

IPKarma has a plugin for WordPress blogs. You can download it from here. For more information on this service and to create a profile, visit the IPKarma Blog!
