Good news! Search-targeted advertising solution provider Chitika will now server more ad impressions on your web pages. Normally, Chitika | Premium ads are displayed only to search engine traffic. But from March 8, 2010, Chitika is rolling out a new feature called Chitika | Select, which will display ads to some selected non-search traffic. It means now your Chitika ads will get more impressions and thus may help you maximize your ad revenue.

The new Select ads will be displayed based on click-prediction technology. It means, ads will display on your site when there is a greater chance of receiving a click. The percentage of non-search traffic that will see these ads will entirely depend on the site content and may vary from site to site. Chitika Select will always show the highest-paying ads possible and will include both PPC ads as well as CPM image or banner ads.
Chitika Premium is good monetization option, specially for those blogs receiving a good amount of search engine traffic. I highly recommend it to all who wants to make money online with their blogs. Now, with the new Select ads, you can expect to get more out of your ad space, as ads will be shown to more than just your search traffic. What about compatibility with Google AdSense ads? Don’t worry! Just like the Chitika Premium ads, you can use Select ads and AdSense together on the same web page.
But what if, you want to show Chitika ads only to your search traffic? Is there any way to opt-out of Chitika Select. Yes, there is one option. Login to your Chitika account and go to “My Account” section. Scroll to the bottom of the account settings page. Select the “Disable Chitika | Select” check box and save your account information. This will show ads targeted to your search traffic and not select users.
