Since last month, I am busy in some case studies. One of the basic goals of the case studies is to find out how some bloggers are establishing themselves as authority in their niche. The case studies are not yet complete. But, after about 120 hours of hard work by two of my trusted men, I’m getting some interesting and useful information related to different blogs. One of such interesting information is some bloggers are easily exploiting the blogs of big media houses to make money online. How? They are getting good PageRank juices from high PR blogs of newspaper or television sites. After a bit of research, I found that it can be done by anyone and you don’t have to spend a cent for this.

How I came to know about this? During our data collection, we targeted some high PR blogs, in order to find out from where they began and how they got good PR. I am not going to include the name of the blogs here, but I can tell you that all of them have at least PR 5 on their home page and they are not related to Make Money Online niche. We found that at least ten PR5 blogs got the high PageRank only because of links from one or two different sites. After further research we found that those blogs have noting important but a bunch of scrap articles and they are making good money from interim paid postings and link sales.
I am sure that you all know how much you can make from a PR5 blog, if you go for paid reviews and text link sales. So, I looked towards the sites that are sending PR juice to those spammy high PR blogs. Except two, all of them have backlinks from blogs of big media houses (by media houses, here I mean newspapers and tv channels). The exceptional two blogs got sitewide backlinks from portal sites.
So, need a high PR? Get one or two blogroll links on blogs hosted with high PR newspaper sites. You may ask how can I say that it really works? It works, because I have contacted one of those bloggers. His name starts with ‘H’ and he blogs from India. After two long chats via phone (one of my ex-colleague is his best friend and I took the advantages!), he told me the truth about his two PR5 blogs. He got the blogroll links from blogs related with two top newspaper sites. How did he managed to get the links? Did he paid for those links? I know this kind of questions may arise on your mind. In fact I also asked him the same questions. And his answer was – good public relation. Just like I used my ex-colleague’s friendship, he took advantage of his college mates! He was lucky enough to find some people who works in some top newspapers. He requested them to include a link to his blog, from the newly started technology blogs of those newspaper sites. That’s it he got the links without spending a cent and when the newspaper blogs got high PR, his blog’s PR also went up.
Our Mr ‘H’ got the blogroll links with just a simple request to his college mates and now he is now enjoying blogging. From online gambling to house ants and from kitty party to spyware removal, he covers all kinds of topics on his technology blogs and makes money online! He also publishes some useful links on his sidebar.
So, it really works. I can say it with confidence because I have lots of data to support this. Anyway, if you really want to make some quick money, then you may try this technique. Not sure how to start? Remember the following points:
- First decide whom you want to approach for a link. Nowadays almost every big website comes with a blog. Contact your friends and relatives. I am sure that you will be able to spot at least one who is related with a newspaper, television or a news portal.
- Look for high PR blogs related with those sites. But never ignore low PR ones. Their PR can easily go up and you can approach them when first attempt to get a backlink from high PR blogs fails.
- Create your blog on your own domain name. Get a catchy name related to a popular topic and publish some contents. If you already have an established blog, that’s great.
- Then send your request. Contact personally or via Phone and try to get a blogroll link. Never go for old style email request method and whenever required provide a backlink to his or her blog.
- Once you have the backlink(s), wait for the next Google PageRank update.
- You will definitely get a good PageRank, as search engines loves those news sites or portals.
- Join some good get paid to blog programs and start to make money from your high PR blog.
Summary: Need a good PageRank? Use your public relation and communication skills to persuade bloggers of popular media houses to add a blogroll link. With only one or two sitewide links from PR6 blogs, you can easily get PR5 on your blog.
Note: I have written this long post, based on results of my case studies. This technique is suitable only for those who wants to make money online by using all possible ways. So, if you want to make money online by implementing this idea, you must go for paid postings or sale of text links. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee that you will make enough money even with a PR5 blog.

That was a bit long article. Anyway I got the point. You are telling me to target some good blogs related with newspapers in order to grab a backlink. But, problem is who will give me a link for free?
Great article with valuable information. I am going to try it out and see how it works out! Thanks
This is really interesting. I will try to follow your instruction. Let’s see if I can get PR5!
From what I’ve seen, all it takes is a PR six link or two pointing to your website. Getting that can be hard for some, though!
Wish I know someone in the media or TV
Would love a PR5 as it was 4 and then went down to 3 at the moment
Good Post!
Sounds like anything else takes some persistence and knowing the right people.
Great Dude..!!

interesting!
Wow. Thanks for sharing this. I think I need this…very informative!
Very insightful article. I have PR4 and I didnt even work for it. But I guess with some hard work as you have suggested it can gain more points.
Your blog is full of very good blogging tips.
Interesting post. I will apply it late.Hopefully I will get the pr5. Thanks for sharing.
Building a good PR blog is very hard for me. Anyway interesting post!
Just use various legitimate techniques. Soon you will get a respectable PR. Well, try to avoid being slapped by Google. Otherwise you will find it very hard to get a PR.
Makes sense! Any site with a good PR will do.
Useful advice! I’ve always really been pretty much a passive web user – never commenting but just reading and browsing and learning. Looks like I might join in a few conversations in the future instead of just sitting back and enjoying the show
I’ve created one blog but don’t have links. The content is just two articles (disclosure policy and a photo) but it has high page rank. How would you explain this?
Great info…I would to ask you. How do you think if the blog dropped from high PR to 0..?
Good info, now to find someone to give me a back link. I guess if you don’t know anyone you just have to keep writing and hoping
Do you want to change blacklink pr2 email: asi-cocuk@msn.com
wow, thanks for the tips.. keep it up!
Nice post, but very hard to do
Keep it up
That’s a good idea, but the only problem is where to find them.Another way to increase your PR is to comment and gain an entry in the Top commentator widgets of good PR blogs, and it also it will result in additional traffic
nice tips. But how do you think about using get paid to blog programs with pagerank.Any tips how to overcome it with page rank ? Becaue my pr come to pr0 when i using some of them
Thx
Interesting but strange.
One way u say and it is true that paid posts kill google pr,and then u are saying that get a high pr and do paid posts. This will get the pr down again
Hi,
Yes, paid posts may kill your PR. But still majority of bloggers are doing this. Why? Because simply writing a few paid posts may not result in a penalty. “Before it happens, get most out of your blog” – this is what most bloggers thinks. And it is true. I can see that some authority bloggers are continuing the practice and there is no drop in their PR. So, the bottom line, if you want to make money online with your blog, you may choose paid posting as an option. And for more income via paid posting, you must have a good PR.
Thanks for your comment.
already try it before. Of course it works.
cool. i love to give a try. Hope i also can get good pagerank next time.

wow! nice idea. i will it.
This one is a good idea.. But getting a link on these blogs is a much challenging task.. U must certainly know someone in the media field..
looks good, I will try it for my website.
I see you already know a lot about the online stuff – Yeah, I had a look at your blog and procrastinated there for a while
Great Article and advice on creating high PR Blogs.
This means that any traffic that you are expecting to get from commenting on a related blog post just won’t show up. Google doesn’t follow nofollow tags, so the link in your comment will be completely ignored from the view of the search engine. You won’t get any “Google juice” from a related blog if it has nofollow tags.

I will definitely give backlinking some extra time since I haven’t in the past. I’ve got keyword rich content on my site and in my posts. I have not received many comments though. My question is…is it better to get backlinks from relevant sites or is that not quite so important?
Thank you for the valuable information
