SimplyBox : Capture, Organize and Share Your Favorite Portions of the Web

SimplyBox is a new online service that will allow you to clip and keep portions of web pages in an interesting and visible way. So, it is an advanced online bookmark service that you can use to capture, organize and share only the required portions of web pages, pictures and videos. And in simple words, it is a visual bookmark service.

SimplyBox

Right now, SimplyBox offers browser plugins for Internet Explorer and Firefox. Get one for your browser and you are ready to clip your favorite portions of the web! Click on the “Box and Save” button on your browser toolbar and some boxes, that are collections of items, will appear at the bottom of your browser window. Just highlight the portions of a web page that you want to clip and drag it into a box of your choice. That’s it! The clip of your interest will be added to your SimplyBox profile page.

On SimplyBox, your clips will appear as images and you can easily drag and drop them into boxes on any subject/category. It will also allow you to add comments to each of your clipped items. On your toolbar you will also see a “box and send” function, that will enable you to send your clipped items in emails ad image files.

So, what would be the most suitable practical use of SmiplyBox? In my view, it will help you when you are gathering information from a number of sites for research purposes. Just clip the required portions while browsing and refer them later for using the information. But, here you will notice one drawback of SimplyBox! It keeps all the clips in images format. So, you will never be able to use the original text or video from your clipped items.
