Banner ads have almost 0 ctr. I'm saying this out of experience. People just ignore banner ads. I have a 768×90 in the middle of my content and the ctr is very nice. Generally speaking, the 768x90 is at the top or bottom of the page and the 160x768 is on the side of the page. However, the 300x250 ad is right smack dab in the middle between content. When a user is reading, his or her eyes will naturally go back to the ad (if floated directly beside the content).
