Recently I came across an interesting telephone reminder tool called Wakerupper. This new tool claims to be the web’s easiest telephone reminder tool and allows web users to schedule reminder calls on the web. You can use Wakerupper to remind yourself of important events or to set a simple wake-up call at a specific time. In fact there are no limits to reminders possible with this free online tool.
Wakerupper aims to make telephone alerts as simple as possible. Once you are on the site, just enter the phone number you would like to be called, the time you want the call to be placed, and an optional 140-character reminder message. That’s it. Hit the “I accept. Schedule my call.” button and you will receive a call from Wakerupper at the time you have specified.

Though the reminder calls placed from the Wakerupper homepage are free, they do have a premium service which charges 5ยข per minute. Additional features of the premium service include voice reminders, snooze, recurring calls and easy-to-use mobile interface. The service is offered in prepaid format and you need to buy Wakerupper Credits. Wakerupper Credit remains active for 90 days after your last use. Also they only charge when a call is completed and not when the call is scheduled.
Right now Wakerupper only supports calls to phone numbers in the U.S. and Canada. But users can set to receive calls outside the service area by using a US number to proxy Wakerupper calls to other countries. For more information about the service and to set a free telephone reminder visit http://wakerupper.com.
