WordPress is people friendly, not search engine friendly! How? WordPress has many features to facilitate blogging and linking, such as archives, categories, feeds to posts and comments, and so on. These features helps people to navigate through a WordPress blog. But, they creates lots of similar or identical pages and search engines, like Google hates these duplicate contents!
To get rid of these duplicate contents, you can tell the search engines what URL to index by using ‘noindex, follow’ meta tag, robots.txt exclusions or 301 redirects. Wait, this may sound a bit hard for novice! So, I would like to recommend a great plugin that takes care of it. It is called “Duplicate Content Cure Plugin“.
This beautiful plugin solves the problem of WordPress duplicate content by adding the noindex, follow meta tag on the problem pages. It is very easy to use. Just install and go.
How to use WordPress Duplicate Content Cure plugin?
