Yahoo has launched the English version of it’s new microblogging platform – “Meme”. Earlier Yahoo offered Meme only in Spanish and Portuguese. But it looks like Yahoo wants to grab the attention of the masses and that’s why the English version is here. Right now Yahoo Meme is invitation-only and it looks similar to Twitter, Tumbler and other established microblogging services.

Yahoo Meme
If you want to try Yahoo Meme, you can leave your email address on their site. After receiving invitation you can start your microblog on Meme by selecting an avatar, title and short description. Like other micoblogging services you will be able to enter text, images, videos and music on your microblog and share it with your friends.
As a Meme user you can search other users’ public accounts and follow each other. You can also have other user’s entries appear in your blog stream and even repost those favorite entries of other people on your microblog. Much like Twitter. Isn’t it?
What Yahoo thinks about Meme? In their own words:
Meme from Yahoo! hopes to be an efficient “memeplex”. In other words, somewhere to multiply and distribute fragments of information. These fragments, or “memes”, travel from one person to another and survive through their own merits or circumstances. They evolve, suffer mutations and some may even get to be very famous.
So, what you think about Yahoo Meme? Are you gonna try it? Or you will simply stick to your favorite microblogging platforms?
