Cool! My Entrecard account has been deleted. I am sure that it is the handiwork of some of the most intelligent minds that virtually controls Entrecard. I am very very thankful to all of them. Because the account deletion email helped me to realize that I was wasting my time on Entrecard. Now, at least I have some extra time and advertising spot for two more 125×125 button ads on my sidebar.

Entrecard

Anyway, what was the reason? The email informed me that my account violated the blog quality standards rule number 4, A1 and A2. Three offenses! Great. Let me explain what those rules wants from a blog and how my blog failed to meet those requirements.

  • First Entrecard Blog Quality Standards Rule no 4. It says content must be original as reproduced content does not provide the specific qualities they are looking for in the network. I don’t know what’s the deal with content, but I am 100% sure that my articles are original. I don’t use PLR articles on this blog and there is no chance for stolen or scraped contents. Now, can you tell me how my blog violated this rule?
  • Additional Rule A1. This rule says that sites that are not blogs are not allowed. Now tell me what is EarnBlogger.com? A blog? A website? Or a government website on make money online? If you don’t know what is a blog, go and read some articles and then act as an administrator of sites like Entrecard.
  • Additional Rule A2. This rule says that sites with more than 50% of paid posts, posts with links to online stores, or affiliate links are not allowed. The so called Entrecard administrator thinks that each of my blog posts are paid posts? Now I have doubt about the ownership of my own blog! Because the Entrecard administrator knows better than me about the content of my blog. Huh. So funny.

That was all about the blog quality standard terms that my blog violated on Entrecard. I know something is worng. Still I have no complaints. Because such kind of networks are not always run by efficient people. Then as we all are human, there may be many things such as jealousy, greed, hate, dejection, isolation, disappointment etc. I am not going to blem anyone here. Even I am not going to ask about the credits that Entrecard stole from me. I had around 16,000 Entrecard credits in my account.

Indeed I am happy today. Entrecard sends me hardly 5% of total traffic. In return what I get? Some Entrecard Credits, some services via market and mostly useless visits. I do agree that the market feature is helpful for bloggers. But what is the use of visits that hardly makes an impression? Now, without Entrecard at least I can expect some low bounce rates.

So, did you got an email titled “Your Entrecard Account has been Deleted”? If yes, feel lucky. Because from now on you will have some extra time that you can easily use for productive works. Yes, I am talking about the time you used to spend on Entrecard. Bottom line: Waste your time on Entrecard only when you are a new blogger. Otherwise you will regret for it one day. Think about it.

  1. I’m sorry to hear you were treated this way. Anyone with any amount of credits is at risk for this type of thing because at some if they ever did start a cash out system they would end up paying out more than they really want. So it is easier for them to just get rid of those hoarding credits. I had over 20,000 credits between my 5 blogs when I demanded they delete my account because of Grahama’s rudeness in the forums. I don’t regret leaving entrecard. It was a huge time waster with little gain. You will find your traffic will recover fairly quickly and you will have better traffic with a lower bounce rate. You might check out CMFads for advertising. It’s rather good.

Thanks for leaving your valuable comment here. You are right. They want to kick out people. But they forgot that it is people like you and me who provided them the strength to stand. They don’t want bloggers. Probably they will start to accept government websites and blue chip companies!

Let them dig their own grave and write their own R.I.P. stone.

    If so, Entrecard is suck…..

  3. Victor says:

This proves that Entrecard is managed by some immature, unaware and careless people. I am also a disappointed user of Entrecard and I can see that many bloggers have already expressed similar views on this system. This is probably the best time to dump that shit.

    Entrecard G.T.H. :)

i got a few email like that for my un update blog..so I dont care much.

i still maintain 5 blog with EC. Recently there are caimpaign encourage other user to report other blog that violate EC rules.

So my suggestion maybe u can argue with them.

    • EarnBlogger says:

Thanks for your comment. But after this, I don’t want to go back. People must try to maintain quality. But it doesn’t mean that someone is accused just for a few bogus reports. My blog theme is make money online. So definitely majority of blog posts will sound like affiliate or money. But it doesn’t mean that all my blog posts are paid posts of promotion posts.

I had entrecard when I first started and it helped with networking with other bloggers and actually link building too (lots of people will link to their “top droppers”) so I miss that aspect of it – but other than that, there’s really no point to it. There’s definitely better use of my sidebar space :) They were much better a year ago before they were sold and changed all the rules – that has seemed to be the downfall of it all.

  6. Revenue says:

Sorry to hear that , but i think visitor are looking for valuable info at your blog rather than just dropping their EC , keep blogging anyway :)

  7. vhingF says:

    so…now I know …
few weeks ago I’m wondering because your not droppin’ any more. Above comments are true that I got and learned something from your blog while dropping.

so…thank you very much! I’ll keep going as like what you said I’m a new comer ,a beginner in this kind of business.

Agree with you. Entrecard account deleted maked us more productive work. Just focus write to people and not spend alot of time using entrecard

  9. Have you heard the latest? They made the forums private and are shutting out over 90% of the members. Great way to promote a community. What a joke they are turning into.

    • EarnBlogger says:

This is the time. Attention all bloggers! Quit Entrecard and focus on blogging. What about traffic? The best traffic is organic traffic, which comes from search engines. Produce good contents and soon you will see quality traffic coming in. Then compare it with the “1 second traffic” delivered by Entrecard. Wake up, time to move on!

  10. Cars review says:

Yes..it is true. Using entrecard is useless. there is no future. the best idea to get more visitor is coming from search engine.it will not be wise if most of vistors are entrecarders. anyway, the only reason why i keep using entrecard is that i am too lazy to remove the banner lol.I will do whenever i have done my SEO

  11. EmmaB says:

Entrecard is pretty useless, being deleted might have been one of the best things to happen to me.

After the widget came off, for some reason my traffic stats got better and even increased. Coincidence? I think not.

  12. ohmelayu says:

i don’t care if i newbie or not. But i love to use entrecard. hehe..

  13. Wayne says:

I left EC right before they released their wildly confusing, and sure to be a disappointment, new cash program.

Since then, my bounce rates have decreased, I get more time for activities that are way more beneficial than EC, and I don’t have to deal with the BS that spews from Graham’s keyboard.

IMO, you’re absolutely right. It’s great for a brand new blog. And after about a month or two, it’s time to leave. How’s that for bounce rate?

When people finally begin to understand what makes a blog grow, they will also realize how much a waste of time EC is.

I suspect the people that are still there, just don’t get it. The smart ones have left already.

Why leave EC? Simple. Reduced bounce rates will help to increase your rankings in Google, which in turn will drive better traffic (keyword here is ‘better’) to your site.

Why would anyone want a visitor that is going to wait for your page to load, only to click the ‘drop’ bar and then leave. That isn’t a visitor, that’s a person working EC, and it does nothing for your blog.

Another pointless service that should be shut down.

  14. Riza says:

Well….no worries about traffic anymore. Just quit entrecard. Now see the proof in my blog by showing the feedjit life traffic. then if you interested it…just email me: aryadewangga (at) gmail dot com

  15. Melayu Boleh says:

if your blog have bad content, of course you will be push to quit from entrecard. So, be careful.

    • EarnBlogger says:

What do you mean by Bad content? Can you point one bad content on this blog? But I can definitely point bad content on some of those popular entrecard blogs. Even they don’t hesitate to allow porno content! They did it to me just because this blog makes money.

      No thanks for your advice.

  16. sterndal says:

    hi

i’m a newbie blogger and would like to try entrecard but i’ve been hearing a lot of negative things about it

your blog looks decent and interesting. i can’t find reasons for your site to be banned from entrecard

perhaps, they made it by mistake

why don’t you request for a recon?

    • EarnBlogger says:

I don’t want a reconsideration because they are playing games and some innocent bloggers are suffering. And I know who did it and why. But, mind it no one can hide the wrong things or bad practices for long time. Sooner or later people gonna know the truth.

All the best and thanks for your comment.

  17. ace says:

never heard of entrecard. By reading the comments, sounds like entrecard is run by immature idiots.

  18. [...] traffic. By traffic, here I mean quality traffic and not the same, useless traffic from sites like Entrecard. When it comes to quality free traffic, nothing compares to the organic search engine traffic. As a [...]

  19. Mark says:

Entrecard did the exact same thing to us as well. They are very unreasonable and totally way off base. We spend a lot of hard work on our blog. You are also right about it being a waste of time. We have purchased somewhere in the range of 200,000+ EC credits from them in the past in order to gain no valuable traffic at all. There is a reason they are now just a paid advertising network. I think their original plan (from the start) was to create a popular network, using the dropping and their so called, “free market economy” in order to get a bunch of blogs on their network before turning it into a place to push their crumby ads and useless websites. When they realized this plan wasn’t going to make them any money, they sold it to company. They say 50% of your blog is ads and affiliate links. Well, 100% of their paid ads are junk sites with no substantial information. I really believe they have always had a hidden agenda. They are a lawsuit waiting to happen. There are other ways to gain real valuable traffic other then Entrecard, where 95% of the traffic is just droppers looking to gain more traffic to their own blog. Thanks for nothing Entrecard.
